Full Description:
Benjamin Parker to Carleton. Petition. That some time ago presented a memorial asking relief, not receiving any answer must remind him that he aided and assisted, with money and boats, numbers of Loyalists and prisoners of Burgoyne's and Cornwallis's army in making their escape for which he was banished; is now financially distressed, has a wife and eight small children, one a cripple and asks for his case to be taken into consideration. Not dated but with several signed certificates by civilians and officers added, the first being New York 20 August 1783.
