Full Description:
George Ormond, Adjutant of the Queen's Rangers Infantry Regiment, to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Has served upwards of twenty years in the navy and army; was captured at Yorktown; whilst a prisoner incurred many expenses and heavy losses, particlularly all his baggage; now finds himself in an embarrassed situation; asks permission to resign his adjutancy in favour of William McKay, volunteer in the 81st Regiment. Subjoined is the recommendation of his Commanding Officer Major R. Armstrong.
