[Carleton] to Parr. New York. The bearer, the Reverend Bernard Michael Houseal, is a minister of the German Lutheran Church, a long time resident of the city who must now leave with a numerous and distressed family to take refuge in Nova Scotia. Recommends him for such a grant of land as will enable him to provide for his large family. Refers to the daily allowance of 10s sterling Reverend Houseal received as translator to the Hessian troops, of which he is now deprived by the dispersal of the troops.
