Full Description:
Rear Admiral Robert Digby to [Carleton]. Meant to call on him this morning in order to determine the method of paying the ships to be chartered to transport the Loyalists. They must be paid in America which is contrary to our usual way of chartering vessels. Thinks it best that Mr Watson should pay them and he agrees. He will order Captain Chads to take up as many as he can get.
