Full Description:
Jane Cayford to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Lived in Cumberland County, West Jersey where she owned of a considerable property on which she lived in plenty until 1777 when she aided and abetted the King's recruiting service. On being discovered had to flee for her life and leave her property, since when she has supported herself without governement help. Has scarcely a shilling to help her, is nearly sixty and now asks for some relief on embarking for Nova Scotia.
