Full Description:
Jane Isabella Winslow to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Is the widow of the Reverend Edward Winslow. That she is grateful for the support granted to her by him in response to an earlier application; details her circumstances as a widow with eleven children as a result of which she finds herself incapable of moving from the city; her fear, after the British leave New York, of prosecution for the back rent of the house she has been living in courtsey of Government. Has been advised by her brother to return to Brantree, near Boston, where her family is well known. Asks for a quarter's allowance of her pension in advance to 24 December to enable her to move with her family.
