Full Description:
Israel Young and Ephram Wheaton (or Ephraim Wheten). Petition. That they were plundered and robbed on Long Island on the night of the '6th, 19th and '20th instant' about which they made affidavits to yesterday [22 August 1783]. Ask that the robbers, now in the township of Huntington on Long Island, may be captured and brought to justice as without some relief given to themselves they are entirely ruined and prevented from going to Nova Scotia.
