Full Description:
George Johnson or Johnstone to Carleton. Provost. Petition. His circumstances before his court martial; that he had no reason to expect any other sentence than death; asks to be reprieved so that he may retrieve a character which he has lost by follies and vices and allowed to spend the remainder of his life in some foreign part in the service of king and country.
