Full Description:
Brook Watson to Lieutenant-Colonel De Lancey, Adjutant-General. Commissary-General's Office, New York. George Brinley, Deputy-Commissary having charge of the forage department, represented that small quantities of hay in the several forage yards of Newtown, Jamaica, Flushing and Staten Island are damaged and unfit for use. Being the tops and bottoms of sacks and refuse of several years. Begs an order for surveying the same, that Mr Brinley may close his accounts.
