Full Description:
[Carleton] to Lord North. New York. Number 103. Encloses copy of a letter from Major Jackson, American Deputy Secretary at War to Brigadier-General Clarke, whom had been sent to Philadelphia to superintend the march of the prisoners of war. There is also a copy of his answer. Mentions as well that those taken at Bennington had sailed for Europe, the officers of Lord Cornwallis's army had arrived from Pennsylvania, and the payment of extra expenses.
