Full Description:
Captain and Provost-Martial W Cunningham. Affidavit sworn before Justice William Waddell. Explaining that he understood Messrs Parker & Fisher were as the presented acting on authority when on their visit to the provost to see William May. They instructed Cunningham to produce the irons in the prisoner's presence but he states that no inducement would have led him to use the least terror. That he was desirous to make the more exact enquiry in their concern as it was expected the prisoner being an American, would divulge some of his accomplices to be people of power under the government of Congress.
