Full Description:
Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Armstrong, 17th Regiment of Foot to Carleton. On board the 'St Lawrence'. Has the honour to inform by the opportunity of Lieutenant Gordon, that he is embarked for Halifax by order from the War Office to join the 17th Regiment of Foot. As the regiment has not yet left New York, he will wait in Nova Scotia for Carleton's commands. Endorsed as received 29 October 1783.
