Full Description:
Information respecting two American ships intended for the East Indies. Number 106. Description of how a ship to be named the 'Empress of China' built and coppering in Boston will sail from there about 1 October. She is intended for a voyage of discovery to examine the coast of California and in what manner a trade may be best established in the South Seas. The second ship, the late Continental frigate 'Deane' is to be refitted and will carry a quantity of dollars and ginseng and is expected to arrive in Canton.
