Full Description:
Thomas Aston Coffin to Major Frederick MacKenzie. In the abstracts for the pay of the Armed Boatmen between 25 September 1782 and 24 April 1783, £15 13s 4d currency, due to John Egenhead was repaid with the military chest. He having been returned by Captain Hubbull as a deserter. He however states that he was pressed and carried on board the 'Ceres' frigate where he has been ever since and did not desert. Is referred for such orders as MacKenzie may think necessary.
