Full Description:
Brigadier-General Archibald McArthur to Carleton. St Augustine. Reports that they have enough provisions for the refugees and troops until the end of September. A report made by a refugee just returned from Providence [New Providence, Bahamas] with discouraging reports of poor soil and unfavourable land on which 'negroes' could be employed.
