Benjamin Ogden to Carleton. Memorial. Was a resident of Westchester and raised a troop of horse under Colonel Emmerick in 1778. Was wounded and lost the use of his right arm and as with other suffering Loyalists, received one quarterly payment of 15s which is now withheld. Had formed a company to go to Nova Scotia but the wound on his arm broke out afresh and prevented him from doing so. Is now going to England and begs his name may be continued on the list. Has a wife and three children to maintain and his property in the country is all confiscated.
