Full Description:
Carleton to Poyntz. New York. Warrant to pay Mr Isaac Haulenbeck, paymaster to the 3rd Battalion New Jersey Volunteers the sum of £1,082 15s 10d sterling. Being pay for the said battalion from 25 August to 24 October 1783, both days included as per the annexed account. From which the sum of £30 9s 5d sterling is to be detained being a stoppage from the pay of the commissioned officers. Also £193 5s sterling being for 18,552 rations of provisions issued, £1 0s 4d sterling due to the hospital, and £160 3s 9d sterling as stoppage of 2½d per day from each man.
