Full Description:
Lieutenant-Colonel Morse to Carleton. Off the River St John's. Reporting on his progress. He has come from Passamaquody Bay where he was detained eight days and assisted the surveyors employed in laying out different towns, lands reserved for the uses of the government and for the future protection of the country. Has dispatched Mr Nicole up the River St Croix with orders to ascertain its course and distance. From St John's he proposes to go to Annapolis and from there to Cumberland and Windsor. After calling at Port Roseway he will return to Halifax in October.
