Full Description:
Brigadier-General Fox to Carleton. Annapolis Royal [Nova Scotia]. Has received and forwarded orders relative to the disbanding of the troops. Will repair the barracks at this place for the reception of troops ordered here, and expects to meet Lieutenant-Colonel Morse and will cosult with him. Further discusses his doubts of continuing his route across the Bay of Fundy to Fort Howe, the disbanding of various troops, and the keeping up of the garrison of Cumberland and Fort Howe for the present. Submits the request of Governor Patterson of the Island St John for a small detachment of soldiers, and will endeavour to go to Halifax and await further commands.
