Full Description:
Major Frederick MacKenzie to Lieutenant-Colonel De Lancey. New York. The proceedings of a Board of Field Officers at Halifax, Nova Scotia on 11 and 12 August last, respecting the claim of the 74th Regiment to a back allowance of rum in the years 1780 and 1781. Having been laid before the Commander-in-Chief, MacKenzie is directed to desire De Lancey will report to him what has been customary in this army in cases of this nature, where the usual allowance of rum has not from different courses been issued to the troops.
