Full Description:
Brigadier-General Fox to Carleton. Harbour of Annapolis Royal. Has received Carleton's dispatches of 5 September. Will attend to the directions relative to the disbanding of the Provincial regiments on the St John's River. Has forwarded orders to the Deputy Paymaster-General at Halifax not to draw any more bills on the Paymaster-General after the receipt of the money by the 'Ceres'. Is gratified at the approbation of his conduct. Will take early opportunity of communicating to Governor Parr His Excellency's sentiments in his private letter. As the officers of the 2nd Battalion of the 84th Regiment have views of settling their men near Windsor, they are anxious that the corps should be disbanded there.
