William Vane to [Carleton]. Petition. A Mr Shoemaker does not state in his report why he was left off the list of distressed subjects. In December last, whilst en route to Halifax, he was taken and confined until April this year. In spite of repeated applications he seems to have been forgotten. Is destitute and has no funds for the voyage to Nova Scotia.
