Full Description:
Mrs Sarah Nichols. A petition on her behalf to Carleton by Messers James Seovil, missionary at Waterbury and Westbury, Mr Preserved Porter, a surgeon; Jermiah Leaming, missionary at Norwalk, and Bela Hubbard, a missionary at New Haven. She claims that William Nichols, inhabitant of Westbury, Connecticut was ill-treated and forced to leave his house and possessions worth £700-800 and go to New York where he has died leaving a wife, four sons and a daughter destitute. She intends to settle in Nova Scotia and asks for some favour from the Government.
