Adam Barthmess to Carleton. Memorial. He is a Loyalist tried for his life in 1783 and obliged to provide a security of £5,000 not to enter the British lines. Reduced to destitution, wishes to travel to Nova Scotia and requests aid given to others of similar circumstances.
