Major William Anstruther to [General Sir Guy Carleton]. A letter from Bermuda stating that the regiment had been mustered on 24 September by Lieutenant Durnford with all preparations made for embarkation when the transports arrive. Lieutenant Durnford was pleased with efforts made for the troop's comfort with the cistern and barracks etc. Would require refund of £300 that alterations would cost when finished properly. P.S. 'My poor lad Phillip, half-pay would pay for his education at Glasgow'.
