Full Description:
Robert Clayton, 17th Infantry, to [possibly Major Frederick Mackenzie]. A letter from Kingsbridge regarding a complaint made by John Sharman concerning alleged damage to six acres of corn, allegedly by the King's horses. one Dodge in the Waggonmaster-General's Department, said it had probably been done some six to two months previously as the fences had been down and were in need of repair. The man Sharman had a bad reputation and had been turned out of the lines for horse stealing.
