Full Description:
[General Sir Guy Carleton] to General George Washington. A letter from New York informing of transports with refugees for Nova Scotia, would be calling into Penobscot to remove troops and stores, then when ready to depart, would inform local officials so that they could take over on their departure. A similar letter would also be sent to Governor Hancock.
