Full Description:
British Troops. A letter from New York containing an account of pay paid by Captain Charles Handfield, Paymaster of Absent Corps, to soldiers drafted from the Convention Army into 2 Battalion, 84 Regiment, for the sum of £87 9s 4d, being the amount due to them, as decided by the Board of which Lieutenant-Colonel Gordon, 80 Regiment, was President. Account signed by Captain Handfield.
