Full Description:
General Sir Guy Carleton to Brigadier-General Archibald McArthur. A draft letter from New York regarding the initial supply given to Loyalists who had emigrated to East Florida the previous year, and their intention of providing for themselves after that. They may be forced to emigrate again but no other provision could be made for them so discouragement should be made of speculation surrounding this matter. Commissary-General's assistant sent to St Augustine after provisioning British American troops in Nova Scotia, with sufficient supply retained for Royal Artillery until end of June, then give remaining stock to neediest refugees.
