Full Description:
Major Frederick Mackenzie, Deputy Adjutant-General, to Brigadier-General Archibald McArthur. If provisions could be spared at the evacuation of New York, they should be sent to Providence under the care of William Gamble, an old officer of the Commissariat, to whom the Commander-in-Chief had promised the appointment, if it was required.
