Full Description:
William Waddell, coroner and twelve named jurors. Inquisition taken at the house of Daniel Van Martoe at Brooklyn Ferry, King's County, Long Island on the body of Jenny an Indian woman, wife of Andrew a 'black man' and driver in the Wagon Department at Brooklyn. Contains considerable detail with accompanying deposition by Diana, a 'black woman' wife to Isaac, a 'black man' and driver in the Wagon Department at Brooklyn. Jenny having been much intoxicated with liquor wandered from the 'negro' barrack[s], and sustained a head injury after falling into the ditch at Brooklyn Fort.
