Full Description:
Carleton to Major-General Mathew. New York. Regarding the provisioning of the Loyalist refugees from New York and East Florida who have gone or will be going to the Bahamas. Six months provisions, rum excepted, for two thousand men to be sent to New Providence consigned to Brigadier-General McArthur, who at present commands in the Southern District. Hopes to complete the evacuation [of New York] in the course of next month.
