Full Description:
J Mervin Nooth. Memoranda for Major Mackenzie by order of the Commander-in-Chief, warant required for Mr Cheney. Mr Skinner, mate to the General Hospital was not paid from 25 September to 24 December 1781 inclusive and requiring a warrant be granted for his pay for that time. The 71st Regiment having no surgeon, Mr Skinner has so acted, and as the regiment is now embarked, Carleton's instructions are that he embark with the regiment and the Secretary-at-War informed of this. Skinner is to be paid to 24 December before he leaves New York.
