40th or 2nd Somersetshire Regiment, commanded by Lieutenant-General Sir Robert Hamilton, baronet. Abstract of 61 days' subsistence for the non-commissioned officers, drummers and privates from 25 August to 24 October 1783 inclusive. £790 19s 4d. Signed Lieutenant Alexander Gray, paymaster; E Eyre, Captain 40th Foot and Lieutenant-Colonel in the Army.
