Full Description:
Stephen McCrea to Carleton. New York. Memorial. Is a joint proprietor of an estate at Corlaer's Hook that was taken over as a store by the Commissary-General's Department. That the public stores erected using materials from the original outbuildings have been taken down by order of Brook Watson. Is confident that it was Carleton's intention that all American property be left behind, prays that he order an enquiry into the matter and if the property cannot be returned, such compensation as may be just an equitable. With a report dated 22 November 1783 by Brook Watson.
