Full Description:
[Carleton] to Brigadier-General Martin. New York. Encloses a return of the British troops embarked under his [i.e. Martin's] command; their various destinations (namely: Woolwich, Portsmouth, and the Clyde) and his directions when they separate. These instructions to be communicated to the officers commanding in each ship so that in case of separation they can follow them. Giving notice of their arrival to both the Secretary at War and the Commander-in-Chief in Scotland.
