[Carleton] to Lord North. New York. Recommending to his favour Alexander Wallace, for many years a reputable merchant in New York and uniformly loyal during the late rebellion on account of which it is understood he has been proscribed by the 'American rulers'. Lieutenant-General Robertson can supply such further information as may be required.
