Full Description:
[Carleton] to Richard Brinsley Sheridan. New York. To inform the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury that he has directed the Deputy Paymaster-General to send to Halifax on board HMS Albacore, Edmund Crawley, commander, the sum of £30,000 sterling for the supply of the military chest there. About £60,000 sterling will remain in the chest here at evacuation. Will order it put on board HMS Ceres, under Captain Hawkins, for Europe.
