Full Description:
Alexander Stedman to Carleton. New York. Has been recommended for a passage to England in one of the transports but on applying to the agents was informed that he could not be accommodated. To be left here will be fatal to him and his poor family as he is under sentence of death at Philadelphia, where he lived for many years as one of the province's judges. Prays and beseeches Carleton to order a passage for him and his family that he may not fall victim to cruel men.
