Full Description:
Memorial of Major John Aldington to Carleton, on behalf of himself and the Regiment of Guides and Pioneers.The regiment not having been included in the memorial presented by the other provincial units, having been in constant service from 1776 in the north (via Danbury in the 'Jerseys') to the southern provinces (and Virginia with General [Benedict] Arnold). The officers are mostly refugees whose properties have been confiscated, beg lands in Nova Scotia ('as may be given to others').
