German Troops, Prisoners of War. 1782 and 1783: Paper containing various items with German troops in these years, including: extracts of a memorandum book of a Brunswick sergeant who made his escape from Reading [Pennsylvania] to New York, certificates issued by James Reed at Philadelphia with the form of discharge and oath to the American government, and statement or certificate of treatment of Henry Sharer of the the Regiment of Hesse-Hanu, signed by Michael Graybel his gaoler.
