Full Description:
Timothy Hierlihy, Major Commanding the Independent Companies to Clinton. Island of St John, Charlottetown. Gives a report of his activities since arriving at Halifax on 6 April, where he placed himself under the command of Major-General Massey, and thereafter at the colliery at Spanish River. He also deals with the issue of the order given to discharge the company raised by Mr Callbeck, President of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the island and sets out the case for the company to be retained. He encloses a copy of a letter from Callbeck.
