Full Description:
John Campbell to Clinton. Headquarters, Pensacola. 11 o'clock at night. Giving the news of the repulse of the attack on the Spanish post at Mobile village during which Colonel De Hanxleden was killed and others killed or wounded. Names mentioned are Lieutenant Gordon of the 60th Regiment, Captain Baumbach and Lieutenant Stirling of the Waldeck regiment, and Captain Key of the United [Provincial] Corps of Pennsylvania and Maryland.
