Description:
VLO 51 is a parchment codex from the second half of the 12th c., its 149 leaves measuring 205 x 105 mm. Written space covers 155 x 55 mm (40 lines in dark ink). The text was written by a single scribe in Littera textualis. At the start of the books are major multi-coloured initials. From book XI onwards, these have not been filled out and were later added in dark ink. There a few rubricated inscriptions; some have been added at a later stage. Book I contains coloured minor initials within the text. The codex has an 18th-c. cardboard binding with dark leather protection.
