Full Description:
General Sir Henry Clinton to General Haldimand. A letter from New York stating that any reinforcements would be difficult to send, if so required, as the weather was changing but as none had been requested, then everything must be quiet as it was thought some 2,200 other troops could have joined him by now as the French fleet had been in the vicinity for a while.
