Full Description:
Memorial of the officers commanding regiments. With regard to the great loss they sustain in drawing their subsistence from their agents, discount on bills being from 10 to 15 per cent, which together with the very high price of every necessary of life, renders it almost impossible for the subattern line of the army to support themselves. They ask that the memorial be put before the King so that their subsistence may be remitted in the like manner as that of the non-commissioned officers and privates of their respective regiments.
