Full Description:
Nisbet Balfour to Clinton. A letter from Charles Town acknowledging previous letters and convoys. Also referring to the requirement of cavalry to oppose enemy incursions. The plan by Charles Montagu in raising a corps from [American] prisoners requires approval. General Duportail [Continental volunteer] is ordered to Philadelphia via Wilmington but went 300 miles out of his way to Greene's camp to pass on intelligence for unknown reasons.
