Full Description:
Leslie to Clinton. Headquarters. Explains a paragraph of his letter mentioning the diffidence of the troops. The greater proportion of the corps here have not been inured to service and want that confidence felt by any army accustomed to victory. The unfortunate fall of Lord Cornwallis could not fail of holding out a gloomy presage to a young army and his idea was to obtain a corps of veteran troops for this place.
