Full Description:
East Florida Assembly to Governor Patrick Tonyn, and answer from Tonyn. St. Augustine, East Florida. Address. Thanks for his messages to the two Houses of Assembly, for his concern when the order for the evacuation of this province arrived, and for the steps he took to effect a change of the measure. Satisfaction that the troops are to remain and an additional naval force afforded so that East Florida is rendered a safe assylum. Requests him to convey their thanks to the Commander-in-Chief and to Leslie, and trust they shall remain under the protection of the British Empire. Signed by Governor Moultrie and William Brown. Followed by his answer.
