Full Description:
Brigadier-General John Campbell to Major General Paterson. Fort George, Penobscot. Refers to a conversation they had at Halifax regarding this fort. That the fort has a high point about 1,000 yards away and if properly fortified and supplied with cannons it will secure it from being taken easily. Requests orders to this effect. Informs him that seven more of the Brunswick troops have deserted, four of whom were retaken up the River Penobscot. Requests one or two fire engines and reinforcement of artillery men.
Enclosed by Major General Paterson to Sir Guy Carleton, 22 November.
